I was fortunate enough to meet Gus when I joined LS&CO. in 1967 when I worked in the Sales Admin Dept in SF.
He was so nice and helpful to everyone including me, the Rookie. I think the Haas family hand picked him. When I went out into the sales field, I always stopped by to see Gus whenever I was in the Home Off.
I just thought of him this morning because in the obits this morning it listed a man with the same last name.
It brought a smile to my face, and God bless your family.

When I joined LS&CO IN 1967 Gus was working in the Sales Admin Dept. He was one of the kindest and nicest man I worked with. Believe it or not, this morning I read that another man with the same last name passed away; and I stopped reading it to think about Gus and how nice and helpful he was to me and everyone he came in contact. When I went out into sales, I always made it a point when in SF to stop by and chat. I can't remember Gus having a bad day.
God bless your family.

Michiko and family;
I worked with Gus in the Sales Admin when I first graduated from Cal in 1967. We worked for one of the best, Gene Vaughn, and your husband treated me with the utmost warmth and respect. A true gentleman and a good friend. I always made it a point to visit him whenever I was in the Home Office.
My condolences to you and your family.

Gus was one of the first people I met when I started work at Levi's. We worked on several projects together early in my career planning sales territories. He was extremely helpful and an all around good guy. May he rest in peace and may time heal the family's of loss.
