John Holcombe Obituary

It is hard to not remember someone who saved my life on more than one occasion. I think about times we shared almost every day. Miss you John.

This man was my father, he was the only real father I ever had, I think about him every day, and what he has done for me. He loved me and took care of me, as if I was one of his own; he didn’t have to do that, he took time in when nobody else would. I wasn’t his birth child, but I thought of him as my birth father. He took care of me and fed me, clothed me, and he worked hard. Sure, he wasn’t perfect, but he was a good man. I loved him then, and I love him now. ~ Kourtnie Anne Holcombe

John, you were the homie! When I first met you, i needed to borrow a hammer and some other tool. You and your family were always kind to me and looked out for me. John helped me make Oklahoma as fun as it could be. I hope you can look down at all of us and hear our prays for you John! U ARE THE MAN!!!!!!!!

Lynn and I always enjoyed visiting with John when we went to Zapata's in Lawton. He was so nice and helpful to our daughter, Laura, when she worked there. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

John was a great manager and friend. All of the memories from Zapata's will always be cherished. He loved his family dearly and talked about them constantly. My thoughts and prayers are with them. He was a great man.

Although it has been far too long since we had seen each other, know that your memory lives strong in my heart. Our deepest sympathies and heartfelt wishes go out to your family.

John,you were a great man, a mentor, and the best manager I ever had. You've always had a way of pacifying a bad situation or just bring joy and laughter to the people around you. You are deeply loved and missed. Your words will be with me forever, but you still stink at bowling. May God bless you and your family.

I have not seen you in many years. It seems like yesterday that we stood next to each other at graduation. Through high school you were my best friend, remember you Parker and I used to go joy riding in my truck. Well it is time for you to rest, sleep well knowing so many people loved you. To the Holcombe family my heart and the wishes of the Masias family go out to you.

My Big Brother John, I will miss you sooooo much. The late night talks were fun and I love you too! You are in my heart and I will never forget you! I got your Broncos jersey! It sure seems like just yesterday that we were young and playing in the street. You were one of my brother's best friends. I am sure he will miss you as much as I. God be with you and your family.

I don't know what to say! I have known the Holcombe boys most of their lives. My sons and daughter grew up with them for several years as neighbors. My middle son, Chris, stayed in touch with them even after we all moved. It's almost like losing one of my own.You boys stay close, and keep John in your hearts. He loved you as you loved him. Just remember, it's all part of God's plan. Bless all of you and if you need anything just call. I'm so sorry.

John, you will be missed but never forgotten. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family. Craig, Jordan, Gregorie, and Kourtnie: Daddy will always be with you in your hearts and thoughts. He is an angel, and now it's possible to be with each of you, all the time. I love you all.

Although I haven't seen you in over 15 years; I still have vivid and fond memories of our high school days. My heart goes out to your family for they have lost a good man. Rest in peace my friend.
