Dr. John Percival Reasoner Jr., of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on January 22, 2026, at Memorial Central Hospital. He was 71.
Born on February 8, 1954, in New Haven, Connecticut, to Mary Dolberry Reasoner and John Percival Reasoner Sr., John dedicated his life to medicine, service, and family. A board-certified physician in Family Practice and Sports Medicine, he served as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army Medical Corps from 1980 to 2000 and later worked extensively with the U.S. Olympic Committee. His career reflected a deep commitment to teaching, mentorship, and caring for others.
John was known for his warmth, steady leadership, and love of sports. Outside of medicine, he found joy in gardening and observing the wildlife that visited his yard.
He is survived by his wife of more than 49 years, Dolores "Lorrie" Seeley; his children, Alleona and John Percival Reasoner III; his daughter in-law Rachele Reasoner and his granddaughter, Alicia Murden. He was preceded in death by his parents.
