Beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed on February 15, 2024 at his home in Security, Colorado at the age of 85. Born in Sabetha, KS to the late Charles and Ruby [Winkler] Wetzel. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 66 years, Dorothy Constance [Foltz] Wetzel. Joe is survived by his children: Daughter; Kathryn S. Wetzel; son Kenneth S. Wetzel [Diane]; grandson Christopher S. Wetzel [Katie]; and nieces and nephews. Services scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 10:30am at Church On The Ranch, 3685 Jeannine Dr, CSC 80907. Cards and flowers may be left with the church M-F, 8am-2pm.

I remember Joe when I was a very small child. My grandparents Bob & Ann Canfield lived next door for years, and even remained in contact after. As an adult I took my children to meet the Wetzel´s and we were invited in like we never missed a day. He showed us the fireplace my grandfather helped build in his home and shared stories with my kids. Lifelong memories!

Joe was a great man and family friend. Knowing Joe, and his family, has been an honor with many loving memories throughout my life. I will always have respect for this man. I pray for healing and love for his family. Joe will be dearly missed. Much love to all the Wetzels at this time.
