Gordon, Kay was Kherry's first caregiver at the USAA CDC when she was only 6 weeks old. She was family to us and she loved Kherry as her own. She has never left our hearts and she passed on Kherry's birthday so we will celebrate Kay's life every year as we celebrate our daughter's birthday. Words can't describe how much Kay meant to us as parents. We loved her so much.

Kay was a loving, caring, beautiful and wonderful person. She always had a smile on her face and had an amazing laugh. I will always remember how she would bring her own cooler of Tab with her when she came to our house, loved the color purple and LOVED the babies that she took care of. Gordon, you and both of your families are in our daily thoughts and prayers. We pray for peace and comfort during this extremely difficult time.

Dear Gordon and family,

Please accept our most heart-felt condolences with the loss of Kay.

We will always remember Kay for her warmth, love, and friendship. Her sweet smile and giggle always lightened the mood and put everyone at ease. Every time we pass a Cajun restaurant, hear a Stevie Ray Vaughan song, or see a comfy purple couch we will think of Kay and remember all the good times we had together in Colorado and also during your trip to Germany. The impact of Kay’s tireless devotion and love for children will be felt for years to come.

We were truly blessed to know Kay. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family during this most trying time.

Love, the Greenbaum’s
