Lenore died peacefully at the age of 85, in her daughter's home, with loved ones at her side.
Lenore was born in the Bronx borough of New York in 1929. She met and married Ira Levinson, at age 24 in May of 1953. She was the loving mother of two daughters, Stacey and Bonnie. Lenore worked for the IRS on Long Island, and later in San Francisco until her retirement.
Lenore enjoyed being with friends, going to the gym ,and traveling. But most of all she loved spending time with her family. She always had a kind word and a smile for everyone she encountered. She was optimistic, warm, and compassionate and will be sorely missed by all whose life she touched.
Lenore survived her late husband, Ira, who passed away in 2008. She is survived by her two daughters,Stacey and Bonnie, grandsons Jasper, Justin and Jeffrey. Her son in-laws Jeff and Randy and her brother Ken and sister-in-law Cecile.
A memorial service will be held at Oakmont Memorial Park on July 18, at 10:00 A.M., 2099 Reliez Valley Rd., Lafayette.

Dear Stacey and Bonnie and the whole family,
Words cannot express how much I loved your mother and will miss her as a friend more than you can imagine. She was such a dear lady and so special. Is there a particular charity we could donate to in her memory? I know how much she loved animals also. Please suggest something for us. It means a lot to me. Love and hugs, Katherine and Dan
