Lowell Bendorf Obituary

Lowell M. "Laz'rus" Bendorf, Born July 21, 1941, in Lancaster, Wisconsin, died August 7, 2015 in Colorado Springs. Son of Leslie and Eleanor Bendorf of Plattevilleo. He was brother to Paul (Nancy) Bendorf and Beth Marcia (Marcy) Schwenn. Husband of Pennysue Beery, father of Kimberly, Cynthia, Michael, Christopher all of Wisconsin, Eliana Elizabeth, and Eden Rose of Colorado Springs. He had eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Lowell was a funeral director, apprenticed in Platteville and Beloit, WI, and eventually co-owned two funeral homes. He served in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged. He was active in Rotary International, Gideon's International, Youth for Christ, and volunteered his time at the Harbor for the Homeless in Beloit. He served several short-term missions at home and abroad.

Services to be held at Trinity Nazarene, 5055 El Camino Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80918, on Thursday August 13th at 11:00a.m. Burial to follow at a later date.
