Manuel Medina Obituary

Manuel G. Medina, Jr., age 71, a resident of Colorado Springs since 1984 and previously of El Paso, Texas, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2008 at his home in Colorado Springs. He was a glazier for U.S. Glass Co. Manuel was born on December 16, 1936 in El Paso to the late Manuel and Guadalupe (Garcia) Sr. He married Gloria Valle on July 22, 1964 in El Paso. He is survived by his loving wife; four sons: Ruben of Reno, Nevada; Oscar of Colorado Springs; Enrique (wife, Carmen) of Reno; and Daniel of Colorado Springs. He has four daughters: Patricia Mushero of Colorado Springs Rosemary Medina of Colorado Springs and, Sylvia (husband, Carey) Hutchins of Mt. Gilead, Ohio and Teresa Rojo of Colorado Springs. He was a brother to three sisters and two brothers: Magdalena; Carmen A. Murphy; Maria Medina; Baldomero Medina; Xavier Medina; 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A visitation will begin at 9:00 am on Monday, March 31 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel. The holy rosary and funeral services will follow at 10:00 am in the Chapel. Cremation is planned and a reception will take place at the family home. Blessed be his memory.
