MARY LOU RISINGER of Colorado Springs CO was born on January 19, 1939 to George and Alice Schwartz. She passed away peacefully on April 6, 2023. A private Celebration of Life will be held for family only.
Mary Lou was one-of-a-kind. She loved greatly her 5 siblings and family and was affectionally known as "the big sister". She was athletic, stubborn, determined, analytical and scientific in nature. She prided herself on the fact she could out talk anybody. She loved her career in the mortgage industry where she took on many roles. Mary Lou was brilliant and talented in many ways.
Mary Lou had appreciation and love for the classics in music, reading, playing the piano and loved hearing the song "Mary Lou" by Ricky Nelson. Some of the neighborhood children were the excited recipients of piano lessons on her baby grand piano. She also loved sharing and filling your heart with quotes. She was actively involved in the sports of tennis, golf and bridge.
Mary Lou's fun-filled life was cherished by her and many others. She was loved and respected by countless people. She delighted in entertaining her family and friends and loved writing poems, giving cards and gifts. She was a regular at the events at the Kissing Camels Golf Club. An everyday event could easily turn into a celebration. As far as traveling, her favorite parts of the country were the beauty of the Colorado mountains, Ute Park, New Mexico, and the romanticism of Paris.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Lori, grandsons Jason and Michael, great grandson Ryan, Dean Risinger Sr., her 5 younger siblings and a host of family and friends.
