Melba Campbell Obituary

Melba DaZelle Campbell, age 81, a resident of Manitou Springs, passed away on February 14, 2006 in Colorado Springs. She was born on July 5, 1924 in Lushton, Nebraska, a daughter of the late Howard and Flossie Newman Sloniger. Melba was a retired civil service employee, having retired as a communications officer from Ft. Carson. She was a Methodist by faith. She loved restoring MG's, having restored a 1955 MG-FT, she was a member of the Rocky Mountain "T" Register and she loved to garden. Melba is survived by her daughter, Carrie Campbell of Manitou Springs; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dale D. Campbell Sr.; two sons: Dale D. Campbell Jr. and Craig Alan Campbell; a brother, Douglas Sloniger. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2006 at the American Legion 634 Manitou Ave. Manitou Springs.
