I wanted to reach out and express my deepest condolences to the family. Neil was certainly a caring, giving and loving man. His commitment to our kids was endless. Neil coached my son, Dylan, on the DirtDawg team. I remember playing a tournament in Woodland and Neil opened up the Swiss Chalet and fed us all. Know that I will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. RIP Neil! My deepest sympathies, Patti and Dylan Hickox

I’m So Sorry for your loss. Having been a very shy, I didn’t know Neil personally, but I remember him from Del Norte High School. He was one of those kids everyone knew. Very likable. My memory of him is ... surrounded by friends, laughing and happy.

We are so sad to hear about Neil! We thoroughly enjoyed both of his restaurants & spent many a celebration in both. He was always so gracious & welcoming. He always called his customers by name.
He will be greatly missed. Love & prayers to his family.

I am so very sorry for your loss!! The first time I met Neil I found myself laughing because Neil could always make me laugh about something. My first encounter with Neil was a Christmas Party I was scheduling for our office at the Peppertree. Neil could not do enough to make sure our experience there was all we hoped it to be...and it was!!! I will truly miss his smiling face...which he always had when he came into the office. No matter what he was going thru he was positive and always had a smile. I have to admit that I will also miss that wonderful crème of mushroom soup I had at the Swiss Chalet....at yet another Christmas party!!! Neil will truly be missed...just for being Neil!!!
