Richard Ballard Obituary

Dick Ballard passed from this life on April 24, 2005 to meet his Maker and be with his "Special Angel". Dick was born May 31, 1923 in Indiana to Clement and Bertha (Mundon) Ballard. He moved to Colorado Springs in 1926 where he remained. Dick attended Steele, North and Colorado Springs High School, Class of 1941. Dick served in WWII and Korea as a member of the U.S. Marine Corp. He worked at Air Craft Mechanics and in 1951 became an officer of the Colorado Springs Police Department where he retired in 1976. Dick is survived by his daughter, Richey Lynn Osborn (Ron); five grandchildren; and two great-granddaughters. He was preceded in death by the "Love of Life" Susan; daughter, Jinx Anderson; son, Fred Ballard; one brother and four sisters. Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at the Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel of Roses.
