Robert Crawford Obituary
He was born on February 3, 1938 in Dyersville, Iowa.
Dr. Robert (aka Bob) H. Crawford, son of Dr. Hugh and Edla Crawford, grew up in Dyersville, Iowa and went to high school at Campion in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, with his brother Dr. William Andrew Crawford. He attended college and dental school at University of Iowa. He entered the US Army in 1963 and was honorably discharged in 1969. He married his first wife Lynne H. Link (McArdle) in 1960 and had five children.
He practiced dentistry in Colorado Springs until the late 1990s and married his second wife, Pamela Hamilton. Robert then had the opportunity to work as a dentist for the Gamma Dental Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia until he retired in 2000 and returned to Colorado Springs. While in Colorado Springs, he loved the outdoors and was a member of the El Paso County Search and Rescue. After he retired, he spent his remaining years living his passion taking care of dogs as a member of the DogVacay.com organization. Robert was also a member of Divine Redeemer Catholic Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Hugh and Edla Crawford, his wife, Pamela, and his daughter, Alison.
He is survived by his brother, Dr. William A. Crawford (Margaret); his children, Laura L. Schlattmann (Craig), Lisa A. VanderVeen (Bob), Mary F. Guarnera (Chris), and Brian R. Crawford (Renae); his step-son, Brad Tebow (Roxanne); his twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four nephews; two nieces; and his first wife, Lynne H. McArdle.
Visitation, 9:00AM - 11:00AM, with a Rosary at 10:30AM, Thursday, July, 7, 2016 at The Springs Funeral Services, 3115 East Platte Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909.
Memorial Mass, 2:00PM, Friday, July 8, 2016 at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 927 North Logan Avenue, Colorado Springs CO US 80909.
Inurnment, 3:30PM, Friday, July 8, 2016 at Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 South Hancock Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado, 80903.
Reception, 4:30PM, Friday, July 8, 2016 at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, or the El Paso County Search and Rescue.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bob when I was taking care of a dog while the owner was temporarily in acute care. Bob was a wonderful doggie day care provider and help Charlie dawg and I a great deal.

We met Bob several years ago...he watched our yellow lab Newt. He was our dear friend and we will miss him terribly. Our sympathies and prayers to Bob's family. We love you Bob.

Our prayers are with the family. We called him the dog whisperer because he was so gentle and patient with our dog. Pickles loved going to see Robert and he will be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Robert's passing. We met through DogVacay and my husband and I always enjoyed talking with him, and loved how he took care of Charlie for us. We will miss him very much. Our prayers are with his family.

We send our sympathies to Robert's family. We knew Robert for only a short while but became friends quickly. He cared lovingly for our labradoodle, Murphy, and shared good Colorado fishing sites with us. We will miss Robert's caring and friendly personality.

I met Robert through dog vacay. He took care of my dogs many times in the past few years. He was so delightful and nice to talk with. I am very sad about his passing. Prayers to his family.
