Robert James Drake, 73, passed away July 15, 2025, in Colorado Springs. He was born March 4, 1952, in Colorado Springs. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the home that has been in the family for almost 100 years. He is survived by his sister, Nancy Drake, of Colorado Springs, and by his brother, Thomas, of Taos, New Mexico.
He graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School and attended the University of Northern Colorado. He spent his career working in auto sales and finance. Bob was an avid Broncos fan and loved playing golf. Some of his best times were fishing up in Eleven Mile Canyon, and summer trips to Lake Powell with friends and family. He was a good steward to all his furry friends including his Golden Retriever, Amber, and most recently Bella. He loved tending to his plants and flowers.
"Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it." - Norman Maclean
Bob, may your sweet, gentle spirit fly high and free.
