Robert Gilland Obituary

Robert A. Gilland, 78, of Alexander, died on Friday, December 29, 2006 in Little Rock, AR. He was born on February 24,1928 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to the late Robert A. and Marie (Belt) Gilland. Besides his parents, one son, Bruce Sutton, preceded him in death. Mr. Gilland was a U.S. Army veteran and retired truck driver for B & M Construction Company. Survivors include his wife, Norma J. Gilland of the home, three daughters; Karen Mitchell of Little Rock, Laurie Oxford of Purdy, MO, Ramona Christenson of Alaska, two sons; William B. Sutton of Las Vegas, NV, Robert A. Gilland, Jr. of Murrieta, CA, six grandchildren; Tammy Clark of Benton, Michael Williams of Benton, Jared Oxford of Olathe, KS, Nicholas Oxford of Monett, MO, Jennifer Oxford of Purdy, MO, Holly Sutton of Little Rock AR, four great-grandchildren, two brothers; J.W. Gilland and Charles Gilland, both of Colorado Springs, CO, two sisters; Ella Mae Jones and Ivy Gile, both of Colorado Springs, CO, other relatives and friends. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am January 3, 2007 in the Roller-Ballard Funeral Home Chapel with Jared Oxford officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center, Two St. Vincent Circle, Little Rock, AR, 72205, C/O Children's Waiting Room, CCU and Surgery.
