ROGER ALAN ROSCOE
May 14, 1984 November 22, 2018
My beloved son departed this life on Thursday, November 22, 2018 in Colorado Springs, CO. He was the older of two boys and was born on May 14, 1984 in Englewood, CO.
Roger attended elementary / junior high in Colorado Springs. In 1997, the family moved to Falcon where he attended Falcon Middle and graduated from Falcon High in 2002. Fall of 2002, he moved to New York City and attend American Musical and Dramatic Academy. He completed an Associate Degree. After graduation, he attended auditions for theatre work / music videos. Roger worked as a dance instructor / server / bartender while pursuing dreams of performing on Broadway.
Roger moved back to Colorado Springs in 2011. He worked as a bartender at various restaurants. At the time of his illness, he was a karaoke host and a server.
Preceding Roger in death are his father Roger Roscoe Sr., grandparents Toribio and Christianna Ortiz, grandmother Phyllis Ruiz, uncles Leonard Ortiz, Louis Ramirez.
Left to cherish his memory are his mother Violet Ortiz, brother Zach Roscoe, aunts and uncles: Art (Patti) Ortiz; Tim Ortiz; Sharon Ortiz (Chad Bilstein); Anthony (Maria) Ortiz; Ramona Huff; Tami Ramirez; Laura (Jim) Evans; George Rodriguez; Glen Carson, grandparents Corwin (Ellen) Roscoe.
Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on December 1, 2018 at 2pm. Angelus Chapel, 1104 S Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. Roger wanted his celebration to be joyous and happy. Please wear bright clothes. Reception at Angelus Reception Hall. Roger will be cremated and remains kept in an urn. His final resting place will be determined at a later date by the family.
