Rose Mary DeStefano, 87 of Colorado Springs, passed away on 7 June 2021. She was born on 17 December 1933 in Syracuse, New York to Andrew Michael Benz and Genevieve Elizabeth (Meyer) Benz. She met Anthony "Tony" DeStefano when he was studying language in Syracuse and they married on 17 September 1955 at Assumption Church. Rose was devoted to the Catholic church and took pride in sharing her love of God with all who knew her. She enjoyed reading, socializing with friends in Tops and the Red Hat Society, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Rose is survived by her children: Ann, Michael (Robin), Mark (Barbara), Chris (Beth) and Mary (Brian) Forcinito. She was predeceased by her husband and her eldest son, Anthony.
There will be a mass of Christian burial at Holy Apostles Catholic Church at 1:00 Thursday June 24th with private interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
