Ruby Elder Obituary

We need to say farewell to our dear sweet mom Ruby. She was a registered nurse and an unconditionally loving mother. Her gentle kindness was a gift to all who met her. Her presence is missed and will not be forgotten. Ruby is survived by her children Teena and John O'Connor, Michael and Claudia Zahn, Mark and Lora Zahn and her granddaughter Marlo Zahn. Her sister Edith and husband Don and their family, several nieces and nephews, as well as an extended family Terry, Jerry, Barb, Mike and Glenn Elder. A viewing for Ruby will be held on Thursday, February 17th at the Shrine of Remembrance. Visitation is from 4:30-6:30 with a Rosary at 6:30. Friday, February 18th a mass will be held at St. Dominic's Catholic Church, 5354 S. Highway 85/87 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery 2:15 p.m. Friday. We ask you to join us in celebrating the life of Ruby Zahn Elder. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to either St. Dominic's Catholic Church, office located at 331 Main Street in Security or Catholic Charities of Colorado Springs 228 N. Cascade Ave. Ruby will be forever remembered by all who loved her.
