Sally Doud Reed, 69, passed away peacefully at home on February 23 after a lengthy illness, with her loving husband John Reed by her side. She is now happily in Heaven with her mother, father, and many other loved ones who had been awaiting her arrival.

Sally Ann Doud was born on May 23, 1956, in Levittown, Pennsylvania, and moved to Colorado Springs with her family in 1960. She attended Pauline Memorial School and St. Mary's High School before graduating from Air Academy High School in 1974. Sally attended Blair Business College, where she acquired her excellent secretarial and administrative skills, before working in positions at Motor Vehicles, Farmers Insurance, and finally, alongside her sister Terry at Wallboard Supply Incorporated, owned by Terry and her husband Ray Bajza, for over 20 years.

Sally loved music, NFL football, and traveling with her sister and best friend, Terry. They made many trips to Las Vegas, and along with her other sister Kelly, shared many fun lunches, happy hours, and oh, so many laughs together. She also loved visiting her mother and stepdad in Florida, and spent many Christmases with them.

In her 50's, Sally met and was married to John Reed, and they built a wonderful life together. John eventually became her full-time caregiver and was there for her every need to the very end.

Sally was all about loving her family. "Aunt Sal" never failed to send greeting cards for birthdays, holidays, special occasions, and even not-so-special occasions. She lovingly wanted to let everyone know she was thinking of them, praying for them, and that they were deeply loved, even amidst her own suffering. When she could no longer do so, she deeply regretted not being able to send cards for the birthdays of her many nephews and nieces.

Sally was preceded in death by her father, William Doud, her mother, Grace Doud Odell, her step-father, Paul Odell, and her nephew, Matt Whitmore. She is survived by her siblings, Bill (Katie) Doud, Kelly (Chuck) Whitmore, Jeff (Debbie) Doud, Terry (Ray) Bajza, and a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.

No more suffering or pain, Sal-Gal. Rest now in the loving arms of God. Amen.
