Samuel McGuire, Sr. Obituary

Samuel Boyd McGuire, Sr., 87, passed away May 11, 2013. He was born to Harry and Mamie McGuire at Fountain, Colorado on November 12, 1925, and lived in Fountain for over 40 years. Sam married Barbara Boyce June 4, 1946. He is survived by his sons, Sam Jr. (Robbie) and Mike; daughter, Karri Siebert (Jeff); 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife; parents; 7 siblings; a nephew; and a great grandson. Sam was a veteran of World War II having served in the Coast Guard in the Pacific theater. He was a successful businessman who started several companies and patented tools for the tool and die industry. Sam had many hobbies, and enjoyed singing, photography, woodworking, family gatherings, grandchildren's activities, and driving fast cars. He loved people and never met a stranger. His kindness, generosity, and keen wit will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Pikes Peak Hospice.
