Steven Walton Obituary

Steven E. Walton, 52, of Colorado Springs, passed away July 15, 2005 in Colorado Springs, CO. He was born May 6, 1953 in Cherry Point, North Carolina to Marston and Mary (Bullock) Walton. Steve moved to Colorado Springs in 1981 and worked predominantly in the landscaping industry. He was the general manager of Environmental Supply, Inc. for the last ten years. Steve was an avid guitarist, sharing his talents with his church, Central Christian Church as well as teaching. He taught hundreds of students in the Colorado Springs area in his home, at Rice Music, Grainer Music and most recently at Fountain Valley School. His enthusiasm and love for the guitar was contagious to his students. He was a devoted husband and father and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by wife, Carolyn, son Andrew Walton and step-son Nathan Pelham all of Colorado Springs. Steve is also survived by parents Marston and Mary Walton of Forrestville, Michigan and sister, Sue (Bill) McElreath of St. Clair, Michigan and brother, Mike (Laurie) Walton of Plainfield, Illinois as well as nieces Katie McElreath, Jessica McElreath, Carly McElreath and nephew Joseph Walton. A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, July 25, 2005 at 10:30 a.m. at Central Christian Church with Pastor Derry Gibson officiating.
