Susan Godec Obituary

Godec
Susan Yvette Godec

Susan Yvette Godec, beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully on September 25, 2017 at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Born in Patterson, California, and later residing in western Kansas and Lamar, Colorado, Susan moved to Colorado Springs in 1986 where she found success as a Director for Mary Kay Cosmetics, as a Sales Manager for Timberline Landscaping, and as the owner of The Phancy Pheasant, a local home decor/gift shop. Susan procured beauty wherever she went, whether she was decorating a friend's home, working in her own garden, or being a shop-owner-she was instrumental in establishing the 1000-pound concrete planters filled annually with colorful flowers that have now become a fixture in downtown Colorado Springs.
Susan is survived by her husband of 22 years, Joe; children Renee Albright, Neil Emick, Michaela Bell, and Jacqueline Godec; grandchildren Ashley, Katherine and Loren Albright, Robert and Sienna Cadena, Presley Emick and Mark Felkey; father Robert Briggs; brother Robert Briggs; sister Valerie Emick. Services will be Monday, October 2, 2017, at 11:00 AM at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2318 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, 80907.

There are no words to express the depth of my sorrow. Susan, you were my rock, my lifelong bff and one of the true joys of my life. I will miss you until the sun grows cold. To Joe, Renee, Neil, Michaela and Jacqueline: my heart breaks for you all. I will be here for each of you in the years to come. You are the beautiful legacy that Susan left here on earth. You were her life; her pride and her joy along with her beautiful grand children. May the Lord bring you comfort in the days ahead. I love you all very much, Kerri
