Tedd Rodenbeck Obituary

Theodore (Tedd) Rodenbeck, of Mesa, AZ passed away at the age of 68, on October 14, 2014. Tedd was an adoring husband, attentive father and brought joy to many with his quick wit and ever-present grin.

Tedd grew up in Colorado Springs, and graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 1964. He recently attended his 50th Class Reunion, and had a great time seeing old friends. After high school, Tedd joined the United States Navy; serving aboard the USS Estes.

Tedd won the Open Amateur Motorcycle class in the 1973 Pikes Peak Hill Climb. A passionate fan of cars and motor sports, he was an active member of the Porsche Club of America for more than 30 years. He and his wife, Sandi, traveled frequently around the western part of the country and especially enjoyed the family trip to Germany in 1989.

Tedd earned his Associates Degree, in Welding Technology, at PPCC, and worked for the City of Colorado Springs for many years before moving to Arizona in 1989. He was a very skilled commercial welder for over 40 years and finished his career as a metal fabricator for SRP in Arizona.

Tedd is survived by his wife of nearly 48 years, Sandi, daughter Teri Rodenbeck and her children - Kyle, Adam, David and William, daughter April Reagan (Chris), and her children - Owen and Molly, as well as his mother Shirley DeSautels, brother Bill Rodenbeck (Becky) and sister Liz Hanson. Tedd was preceded in death by his father William Rodenbeck (1949), and his step-father Alfred DeSautels (2007).

Following Funeral services in Arizona, and a private burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, there will be a Celebration of Tedd's Life at the Sunbird Restaurant, 230 Point of the Pines Dr, Colorado Springs at 6 pm, on Tuesday, October 21.

The world isn't the same without Teddy in it. He was my first major crush in high school. I looked forward to his Facebook entries. So sorry for the family and friends.

I went to high school with Tedd. Although I didn't know him well, I knew him well enough to consider him a very good person. I'm sorry for your loss.

I wish that I had known you better. I will miss our Facebook debates via your gorgeous daughter. God always seems to call the good people home early. Perhaps he has something greater in mind for you. My prayers are with the entire Rodenbeck family today.
