My deepest condolences to all of Vern's family I can only imagine the grief and loss that everyone is feeling Vern had a big heart and loved people and animals I really believed he would survive and life to the fullest and i think he did too. He said "I believe in the healing power of prayer and positive thoughts" God bless you Vern and your family

I was a classmate of Vernon's from Coronado HS graduating in 1973. I remember Vernon as a friend who was always nice and kind. I recalled learning that he joined the US Coast Guard and thought, how original for a kid from Colorado Springs ! Then again, that was Vernon.
Rest in peace Vernon,

I am so very sad to see this. Vern was my postman when I lived in the Pinon Sun Townhomes and I always looked forward to seeing him. I pray for his peace and know he will miss Debby.

Hello Debbie and family,
Vern was a very special friend to me. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. He was an extremely hard worker at the Colorado Springs P.O. and he will be missed greatly. I do hope to see him again in Heaven! God Bless you all!

Since we didn't get together, after your class reunion, you promised that next time you came in to CS we would break bread together. It never happened. I hope you are in the loving arms of Jesus and next to your wonderful mother who I loved so very much. Until we meet again "viya con Dios."
