Wanda Lee Adkison (Hafenstine) Aust
Age 90, Died of natural causes 10/31/2017 in Colorado Springs
Wanda is survived by her 6 children, Linda Walker, William Hafenstine, Johnnie Hafenstine, Jean Little(Fred), Robert Hafenstine (Brenda), and Lonnie Hafenstine (Dana); 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Ruby Novella Fink and John Clyde Adkison; her sister Evelyn, brother Johnnie and son in law Arthur Walker, daughter-in-law, Suzie Hafenstine.
Wanda was born and raised in Oklahoma and then spent most of her adult life in California. During her early years, Wanda worked as a migrant worker and then as a cook in schools and retirement homes. Wanda enjoyed playing card games with family and friends at the Colorado Springs Senior Center. She was well traveled and loved spending time with her grandchildren and beloved pets. Wanda was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time at the local library.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the home of Jean and Fred Little on Saturday the 4th at 1pm. In lieu of flowers consider donating to the Colorado Springs Senior Center (1514 N Hancock Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903; 719-955-3400).
