Aaijah Cain Obituary

Aaijah Cain, our beloved mother and grandmother passed away on August 2, 2013 in Colorado Springs, Colorado after her struggle with congestive heart failure and rehabilitation, which she endured with grace and dignity. She was born in Pyongduk, South Korea March 24, 1926, and was the baby of nine siblings. Her life was remarkable because she survived the murder of her first husband by communists, was awaken by the sounds of war which was the Korean Conflict where she met her second husband, US Army SSG Thomas Jerome Cain. She came to the United States December 10, 1952 and had to face numerous challenges which she embraced bravely; new culture, prejudices, discrimination and language. In 1954 she came to Colorado Springs, worked at The Broadmoor Hotel and The Antler's Plaza, bought her home and raised her family. She was naturalized in El Paso County August 19, 1960. Family was important and she was able to take several holidays back to her home country, South Korea, from 1960 to 1990. She leaves behind to cherish her memory in South Korea, her loving son Kim Yung Sei and his 2 sons with their 2 sons, and loving nieces and nephews. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, loving children, Yvonne L. Cain and Charles E. Cain; her precious grandchildren, Monica Rochelle, Sonya Teresa, Davina Lorraine, Daniel Edward and Charles Ryan Courtney, Curtis Ivan Cain, Nicole Chaylie Cain; more precious great-grandchildren, Kyla Acker, Tristan, Dimitri, Terrence, Zalena, Ysabel, Darrien, Eva and Aria Courtney, Farasha Yvonne and Chelci Renae Brown, Dashawn Taylor Williams and ever so precious great-great-grandson Jerome Lavon Brown. Private memorial will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado at a later date. Final goodbyes were held on August 6, 2013, and was sincerely appreciated to all who attended. We truly loved Aaijah Cain, we will surely miss her...

Grandma I miss you so much that words cannot explain. :'( You always told me and your grand children God made a brain use it! You are so right about that, this is why I continue my education... I look up to you, I've learned so much from you. It's amazing how I've grown up & realized a lot because of you. My last visit with you was @ the hospital before you were moved to the rehab. Me and Dashawn came to see you, you was hungry. So I ordered you some food and helped you eat. Before we left you told me I love you Davina, take good care of yourself and your son too. :-) I told you I love you too grandma and Dashawn told you he loves you too! ? You always been loving, caring, honest, helpful, mean. But always for a reason... You are a beautiful, blessed, inspirational woman, and perfect for a remodel in my eyes. You may be gone but never forgotten! I continue to carry you in my ? and love you always and for ever! I can't wait to see your face again & meet you at the golden gates... You are now our family's guardian angle! I love you grandma! You are truly missed love always your grand daughter Davina Brown ?
