Zona Gale Rutherford passed away peacefully at the age of 84 surrounded by her two children on March 10, 2026. She was a beloved and dedicated educator in School District 11 for 39 years. When not teaching she also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, gardening, volunteering and traveling. A celebration of life service will be held in April.
