Andrea Lee Zednik, a Colorado Springs resident since childhood, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021.

She was born on November 23, 1946 to Ignatiaus J. Svienty and Mable A. (Rocker) Svienty in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Colorado Springs and married James Nicholas Zednik on February 19, 1966 in Colorado Springs. She was a homemaker for many years, but went back to work in the early 1980's as one of the Owner/Operators of Acme Fire & Safety.

Andrea enjoyed gardening, reading, and cooking. But most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, James Zednik; her children: Nicholas Zednik, Stephan Zednik, and Diane Zednik; her sister, Charmaine Ruby; her mother, Mable Svienty; 5 grandchildren: Leighann Filonowich, Victoria Klein, Rebecca Zednik, James Zednik, Tiffany Shores; and 1 great-granddaughter, Saphira. She was preceded in death by her father, Ignatiaus Svienty.

Services were held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at Shrine of Remembrance "America the Beautiful" Chapel, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
