Dear Tom, Megan and Katie,

Learned of your wife/mother's passing through Rotary and, of course, was sadly shocked. I recall talking with Barbara (it seems like yesterday) and her joyful and enthusiastic descriptions of "the latest" in your lives. What a proud mother! and wife!!

Don't want to miss her service here.

May God bless you during this hard time.

Love,

Barbara - just one week ago you suddenly left us...much too soon. Your vibrant smile will never be forgotten. My fond memories are with you shopping in the flea market and your love of life and the devotion you showed to your beloved Tom. Last time I saw you was at the Marco Bay Yacht Club dinner for new members where you and Tom were introduced to the Marco Bay Yacht Club membership. You are gone and in the hands of the Lord; not better place to be. With sadness...I say goodbye for now! Litha

My most valued memory of Barbara is her empathy with those for whom health or circumstances made life difficult. Her fun-loving and joyful nature was known by all. Her friends from AAUW and Newcomers will miss her very much. I am glad I knew her. AAUW Marco Island Branch will make a donation to the Eleanor Roosevelt AAUW Fund in Barbara's memory.

Remembering how Barb and loved to share stories about our own children and how we both missed being closer to our first grandchild I want to share words of wisdom from Winnie The Pooh..."How lucky I am to have had someone that makes saying goodbye so hard." "If ever comes a day when we can't be together, keep me in your heart and I'll stay there forever."
Wonderful thoughts of our friendship will be in my heart forever, Barbara Dines; your warm and welcoming smile will remain in my heart, always.
