Barbara Jenks Obituary

Barbara was born in Colorado Springs to Lee and Grace Baker of Victor, Colorado, and went home to be with the Lord on Mother's Day. While in high school, Barbara taught ballet and tap dancing and held recitals so her students could show off their talents. Barbara graduated from Victor High School and married Don Jenks. This year they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Together they had two daughters, Dianna and Lauri; and a son, Guy, who preceded her in death. In 1966 Barbara went to work at Hewlett Packard, and in 1991 she retired as a Coordinator/Engineering Assistant. Barbara is survived by her husband, Don; daughters, Dianna and Lauri; a brother, Jack Dawson; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00am Friday, May 24th at Swan Law Funeral Home where a reception will be held following the burial at Evergreen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Pikes Peak Hospice or to the charity of your choice.
