Dear Jeanne,
Burns called and said he read about Ben in the paper. My heart breaks for you and Steve. I never had the honor of meeting Ben but if he's anything like you, I fully understand why the others wrote of a gentle, kind, and sweet soul. May God bless you with his peace and divine comfort.

Dear Steiner Family,
Ben was a patient I will always remember very fondly. He taught me so much about Spina Bifida. You, too, Jeanne made me get the books out and review the birth defect. I wish I could have been the dental hygienist of choice, but some other lucky person won out. I am grieving with you.

Jeanne, Steve and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. May you feel God's peace and comfort now and in the days ahead. We had a great conversation with Ben at Dogtooth and at Bobby's birthday party several weeks ago. We were always impressed with his gentleness and kindness.

I am so saddened to hear of your loss. Though I did not know him past early childhood, Ben was such a sweet little boy who was such an important part of that Ruth Washburn class.
