CHARLES BRETT Obituary

Charles was born on March 1, 1931 in Portsmouth, VA and passed away from pancreatic cancer on April 24 at the age of 82. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Constance, and their 6 children: Dinah Robertson (Larry), Charlie Brett (Jan), Kathye Wilder (Merwin), Cindy Leonard (Garry), Lorrie Myers (Ty Hare) and John Brett (Christine). They also have 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Charles retired from TRW as a communications engineer in 1992 and moved with Connie from Manhattan Beach, CA to their home in Black Forest. He enjoyed retirement and was an avid collector of vintage radio and test equipment, Fisher Price toys and had an extensive library. He was a life member of the IEEE and had his ham license for over 65 years. He was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Scott Myers. Charles will be cremated with a memorial service to be held at a later date.

Charlie was a big part of the Colorado Radio Collectors. When I carpooled with him to meetings we had very few quiet minutes as he had many stories which I always enjoyed.
