Christine Whitfield Weems, 92, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on December 9, 2025.
Christine, or Chris to those who both knew and loved her, lived a life shaped by deep faith, keen intelligence, and an expansive capacity for love that reached well beyond her own family. Her faith was embodied, and lived daily through decades of church involvement, including more than thirty years of prison ministry and many years teaching Sunday school.
Chris is survived by her children, Joseph Louis Weems, Christina Denise Wolf, and Rodney Adrain Weems; and by her siblings, Minnie Laura Knowles Freeman and James Whitfield.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Chris's many dear friends for their steadfast love, and to the doctors and nurses whose extraordinary care gave her family the gift of her presence for so long.
Memorial donations in Chris's name may be made to church Stephen Ministries, Prison Ministries, or The Dale House.
