Missing you much!!!!?

Still #1 in our hearts, Chris! Thoughts are with you often and your legacy lives on strong.

Chris, Ten years later and your flame still radiates strongly at Meadows Park Community Center. Your spirit lives on through the CB Young Stars camps and the almost daily conversations held in which you are referenced. Thinking of you and your family always, and especially now.

Man, I still miss you and think about you every time I drive down Constitution near the dog park where you took your daily walk. Wish you were here. The world needs more people like you. Love and miss you Chris.

I still think about you often and wish you were here to share your beautiful smile and heart with us. You were taken way to soon. I'm blessed to have known you and been able to call you my friend.

Chris was so kind to me. He was the kind of man that never met a stranger. Even though I did not know him well he always made me feel great. He will be missed.

Chris will be so missed, his generous smile and heart, and his great hugs to everyone! So very sorry that Tom and I were out of town and were unable to atend his farewell service. Chris was a true friend to our family at all times and always had words of encouragment for us. I cannot express enough my sincerest sympathy to your family. I know you have heard it many times but Chris was the warmest kindest man I have ever known. I just talked to him a few weeks ago and he sounded so good and I was so encouraged... but God has his own timing and needed that wonderful man in Heaven; we know we will see him again. One of life's greatest questions is, "What have you done for others?" Chris' life was a gift to others as he continuously gave of himself. Colorado Springs is a better place because of him. My condolences to the Brownlow family.

Mr. Brownlow was my first boss ever. A very kind man who loved his job, he will be missed by many.

Chris had such a big heart and was such a wonderful person with the biggest smile everytime I seen him, Kim and family I am so sorry for your loss. My prayers go out to you for strength, he will be missed greatly.

Kim, David, Logan & Jordan I share with you the agony of your grief, the anguish of your heart finds echo in my own.

I know I cannot enter all you feel nor bear with you the burden of your pain; I can but offer what my love does give: The strength of caring, the warmth of one who seeks to understand the silent storm-swept barrennes of so great a loss.

This I do in quiet ways, that on your lonely path you may not walk alone.

Always Salt and Light... even when playing basketball ... and he was tough! Helped me through many trials on the court as a brother in Christ ... told me when I was wrong but encouraged me all the way... just a great guy... I will grieve this loss but not as one without hope... we know will see him again when all is set right...

Our lives were richly blessed by Chris for which we are forever grateful for. His genuine, positive spirit impacted everyone he met - making any day brighter. He showed us to make the most of every moment. We will miss him greatly.

Chris was a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Whenever I needed sage advice or a go-to employee, Chris was top of the list. Such a great loss...

I am so sadden to hear about Chris' passing. But I know he is in a much better place. I met Chris many years ago. He eminded of a big gentle teddy bear. I will always remember his big smile and his hearty laugh. He had such a great sence of humor and we were always trying to "one up" each other when we joked around. But Chris knew I always won...(smile). I will miss my friend...but I will see him again someday!

We lost one of the good ones. His professionalism, wit and friendship are what I remember most from our time together at Memorial Park. Chris was never to busy to visit and inquire as to how I was. We shared many a conversation over the years. My sympathies to his family. We didn't have him long enough but heaven has a real keeper!

Chris will be greatly missed. My heart breaks for Kim and family.

Chris' passion and kindness will be forever missed. He was indeed a man of genuine faith and integrity. I picture Chris entering heaven and God saying, "How are you, Chris?", and Chris replying in his Barry White voice and big smile, "Better now." I lost a roll model and will be forever grateful for the guidance he showed during our time together. Chris Brownlow was a quiet leader with a strong faith that inspired everyone around him to be a better person. He certainly inspired me to be a better father and husband and I will always be thankful for that.

Chris was not only my cousin, he was my brother & friend. The miles between Colorado and West Virginia cannot diminish the love we shared. He sent me a sweater from Germany many years ago and I still have it to this day. It is kept wrapped and rarely worn, because it has always been so special to me. I'm going to miss you dearly Chris. To Kim and the kids, we love you very much, and although we are not there physically, we are always with you spiritually. MUCH LOVE FAM.

The comments provided by everyone here speak to the impact that CB had on all those with whom he was in contact. His unconditional support and optimism was unwavering, even in the most trying of times. During these trying times, as we try to cope with the loss of an irreplaceable member of our community, I will try to stay the course as he did so effortlessly.

Gone too soon. My heart is broken. This hurts so much and I am so sorry I didn't have the chance to say goodbye to my co-worker and friend of many, many years Chris Brownlow. Just seeing Chris walk into our building put a smile on my face. What a genuine good soul. Parks and Recreation will forever have a void. My thoughts and condolences go out to Chris's entire family. He was a true angel on this earth and now in Heaven.

My encounters with Chris were brief but I could tell he was a gentle and loving soul with a smile that lite up his space. His loss will be sorely felt by all he touched but he will be watching all of you from heaven. Praying for you.

I knew Chris working at the City, he was always friendly, joyful and a pleasure to talk with; he will be missed. Thoughts and prayers go out to his loved ones.

Chris was such a wonderful person. I met him when my oldest son participated in a Little Quarterbacks camp about 9 years ago. Since that camp, we would see Chris at youth football games or at other City related events. He always made it a point to give us hugs and ask how we were doing. I met Chris socially through YMCA basketball downtown. As we started to become friends, I asked him to help my wife and I celebrate our 10th anniversary at our house, which he did. As the years went on, I switched the majority of my basketball playing to a different gym, but would occasionally still see Chris and without fail, his first question to me would always be "How's your family?" He actually cared about the response that I gave him. People talk about the legacy he will leave and as I talk about Chris with my wife and kids, he has definitely affected me for the better. Chris was a really good guy and sometimes that's all the other guys need to hear. Good journey, buddy.

This was my main man. He gave me a chance at making a difference in the community. I love you man and you will be miss.

Between PAL and Park and Rec. Chris has touched uncountable lives not only in the youth he served but adults as well. Chris was an amazing asset to our community and will be greatly missed. Never have I felt such warmth and brotherhood in something as simple as a handshake. I will never forget the way Chris' big hand wrapped around mine, transmitting so much sincerity in a genuine gesture of friendship. I will miss the ole "Mountaineer." He liked to call me "Dollar Bill" and I will cherish the memory of his deep, velvety voice saying that whenever we met or talked. This is a big loss to the community. My world, like that of so many others, is a bit dimmer now. I will do my best to shine a little extra light into the world to compensate for the big glow that Chris always gave us. What a tremendous loss to the youth of Colorado Springs. Chris was always such a great advocate for all children and sports. Throughout our 16+ years of friendship, Chris always had a heart of gold. Through the football and cheer programs, Christmas floats and fund raisers, he always had a positive, can do attitude ... never a negative moment. His unending energy and love for life has left a footprint in my path of life. I was blessed with the opportunity to know Chris. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I will miss Chris dearly. I feel so fortunate to have gotten to work with him at Parks and Recreation! Whether helping facilitate his summer sports camps or just in a small chat when we crossed paths. Chris was just such a pleasure to work with and he had such a unique ability to make one feel comfortable, inspired, and an equal. As a grown up who was impacted by Chris' enthusiasm and big smile, i can only imagine the everlasting impact he has made on other peoples lives, and especially the lives of the thousands of youth of our community. I am so proud to have known him and can only imagine the privilege Chris' family should feel to have called him husband, dad, grandpa, brother/sister, uncle etc. While we mourn his loss, i think we can rest assured that our memory of Chris will never be forgotten, for i think his legacy he will have left has yet to be realized. For many years and generations to come, his impact to our community will be felt. Like few past incredibly impactful city leaders/ community leaders, mentors i.e. Leon Young, Cindy Fowler, Milton Proby, Chris will never be forgotten. His life however cut short, should be celebrated by all. Today, my families thoughts are with Chris' family and friends. Rest in peace

Got to know Chris in-depth being at the same table as he went thru his first Via De Cristo (retreat); genuinely gentle & full of humility, that led to many additional retreats where Chris extended his service to others in the name of Jesus Christ. Not a Lutheran by background, Chris was a true gift to us Lutherans as he worshiped our Lord in our presence. We praise God for His legacy lived out in and thru Chris' life!
