Coming up on 8 years. Fox was a better man than I ever will be, the last thing he did was give three begging kids water and thats just who he was, he cared he loved people for no reason other then to love them. He will not be forgotten as long as I live, he didnt deserve what happened but he does deserve to be celebrated and remembered as a true hero not because he fought but because he cared. RIP brother see you on the other side.

Chris, it was such an honor to serve with you. I'll never forget KBS. I love you brother. You made my life so much better for even just knowing you. You always had a smile on your face that was contagious even in the worst of times. There is not a day goes by that I don't think of you brother. I love you.

I really don't know what to say...I didn't know Chris personally. I had gotten to Iraq around the 8th of Sept 2008. I was one of the personnel that did the Patriot duty and watched as he was loaded onto the plane from Iraq. All I kept thinking about was his family back home. I want you all to know that I am soo sorry for your loss. I think about Chris all the time; even though I did not know him personally. I'm not writing this to upset or bring up memories, but I just wanted you to know how he has touched my heart. I will always remember him. I will always have you all in my thoughts and prayers. My name is Lacey Fox and I am actually the twin of H.Fox. The assignment we have been told to do is a very inspiring thing to do. Although I am like my twin with the viewing life differently and liking rock music, I see things more in a hyper ADHD perspective. I love the things that are unique and makes your mind freak out over the amazingness of it all. I have dark brown hair, wears glasses like an awesome person, and am such a nerd!I'm an Senior at Winfield City High School and I live in Alabama. I do appreciate all what the millitary does for us and I always have understood the importance of it. I never could do it myself with the clumbsiness and hyperness to even survive. I will always pray for you and hope that the family of Christopher T. Fox. Thank you for reading and if you ever want to reply write to this: [email protected] Buh Byeeeeeeeee!!!

My name is H. Fox. Im a senior in highschool. Todays date is 11/5/2014. My teacher wanted us to write something to fallen heros since our class is government and Veterans day is coming soon. Im planning on going into something like cosmetology or counseling. Genres of movies I like are comedies and some more serious dramas and romanance. Music I like is Mostly heavy metal and rock or softer rock. No one can quite understand but I see the world differently than other people my age. I belive the military have done well the past couple years protecting our country. Christopher sounds like he did a great job in being a part of defending the U.S. I appreciate people like him that gave their lives to make sure im alive and can be a part of a free country. Thankyou to the family of Christopher for supporting him.

Fox,
I'm sorry that it took me this long to write this for you. I just figure that if I wrote in it, then it would be true. After your memorial at Ft. Carson it finally dawned on that you wouldn't be coming back. I left many things unsaid.
I know I told you I loved you, but I never told you enough, and our last conversation, I didn't even tell you once. However, every night I tell you because you deserve to know, that I love you and will always love you. I miss you so much.
You're my everything. Everyday I sing because that is something you and I did all the time and I know that singing is powerful.

I love you Fox!

Prayer for Peace

Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved, as to love;
For it is in giving that we receive,
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Amen

I met Chris at Hamilton High while we were in the choir together. I truly injoyed his presence while he was there and will truly miss his singing voice. One of the most memorable memories that I have of Chris is him singing at the Show Time at Hamilton and him winning when no one really thought that he could sing, but like Chris, He proved them wrong. My wishes goes to his family in their time of bereavement.

I can't even find the words...I lost my 19 year old son--5 Sept 2007, Balad, Iraq. I am absolutely devastated and I know that you are too...but find comfort in the fact that we will see our loved ones, our heroes again. Do I wish that I could trade places with my son? ABSOLUTELY not. He is in the arms of our Lord--"And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away" ~Rev 21:4

To the family and parents of Christopher I want you to know that you are not alone in the grief you are feeling. I too know what you are going through and what you will go through in the coming weeks and months ahead. You will have many questions as to why? You will have many things to get ready or go through and that should be done in time. Sometimes it just can’t be faced and that’s ok, for you will know when the time is right for you. There is no right or wrong way to grieve it’s an individual journey that unfortunately we now have to take. I ask that God give the comfort, strength and courage that you are going to need. When and if the time is right for you please contact me. You can cry, vent, or just talk as only another person who has been where you are can really know what you are going through. May God continue to be with you and heal you

October 10, 2008

Chris,
Wow, it's hard to believe what today is. I want to apologize for us not being there today, but I know that you know why and that we are with you in spirit. It still seems like a dream.... during this whole ordeal I kept telling myself that once I saw you laying there it would make it more real, but things got so messed up so I guess it'll be surreal for much longer.

I was also thinking of the day the Army came and told us you were gone. At one point, me, Aunt Cathy, Aunt Sue, Grandma Claire and I were sitting around the table as they explained the different phases to us and somehow we got off topic (how unlike us!) and we started talking about your trip to Pigeon Forge on your mid-tour leave this past July. Aunt Cathy said she had the video of you two in that crazy swing-y thing and so she pulled out her laptop and we all watched you guys swinging and dangling over the strip.... Aunt Cathy was looking so green, but you had the BIGGEST grin on your face! Somehow you always knew how to live life and have fun... even if it meant paying $20 for an extra 5 minute ride! The rest of us couldn't help but smile and chuckle as we watched the two of you going round and round, back and forth. I think it was a little bit much for your mom, though. She had tears streaming down her face and the saddest look that I've ever seen.

It's been hard for your folks. So much stuff has been going on but they've always been very careful about what they are saying and doing as they have always wanted the focus during this time to be about you and not them. I still get angry when I think about Emmy and how she won't ever get to see her big brother again. She didn't understand why Mommy was crying that Tuesday but we will always remember to tell her about her big brother the HERO who is up in heaven with Grandpa Frost.

We miss you so much.. I want to thank you for all that you have done for our country but also for calling us HOME. I am very proud to be considered your aunt and am going to miss seeing you and John go down those crazy slides at Splash Country! I'm very thankful that you did NOT talk me into going down those things!

Love you and have fun up there in heaven. I know that God and several others up there have a great sense of humor and will appreciate your jokes and big smiles.

I miss you more than anything on this earth can say. I love you more than anything in the universe can explain. Nothing can explain the hurt that we are all going through now that we cant hear your voice, or have your giant bear hugs. I miss you so much. I dream about you at night and talk to you during the day. I know you are with me, my angel, now and always. I hear your voice calling my name or your see your face when I close my eyes. Know that we all love and miss you deeply. Everytime I sing I think of you and all the times we would turn up the radio either in the house or in the car and just belt one out. Or "our" song, the one that you made me sing to you all the time.

The Final Salute

“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.

This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Spc. Christopher T. Fox our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Chris. And to Chris it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made in combat while serving the U.S. Army and his country. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Chris, you are a brave Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.

On behalf of the 1,409 members of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Chris’ family and loved ones.

This is SFC Ullrich, I was Fox's platoon sergeant. He was my gunner through some pretty cray patches here in Iraq and you always knew that he had your back. He was a good soldier and really knew his stuff. We had alot of laughs together on long missions inside our Bradley. he will be greatly missed and will always be a part of 1st Platoon.

Dear Amy and family,
It's still hard to believe we have lost Chris. I will continue to be here for you, just let me know what I can do. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. May you all find the strength to face tomorrow in the love that surrounds you today.

I am so very sorry to hear of Chris's death in Iraq. My son served with him in Iraq in 06 and brought Chris (and several others) home for a visit. He doesn't know of this yet as he is in Afghanistan right now so I just want to let you know that he will be devastated by this news.

May you be comforted to know that so many people knew and loved Chris. May God hold Chris in the loving embrace of his arms and give him the peace that only HE can give.

My prayers are with your family.

Father we entrust our brother Christopher to your mercy. You loved him greatly in this life: now that he is freed from all its cares, give him happiness and peace forever. Welcome him now into paradise where there will be no more sorrow, no more weeping or pain, but only peace and joy with Jesus your Son, and the Holy Spirit forever and ever.
May God hold Christopher in the palm of His hand. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. My deepest sympathies.

Served with fox in Iraq this last tour. He was a great friend, always there if you needed him, and a good soldier who knew weapon systems better than most NCOs i know. Very loyal friend, I will always miss him.

My wife and I have been sending Christopher care packages as we are members of a group called "Operation Minnesota Nice". We were notified by our Regional Leader of his death and are in total shock.
Even though we did not hear from Christopher we know that he must of enjoyed the things we sent.
We send out deepest sympathy to his family and friends.

May God bless him and all of our military personnel.

I remember Fox when he first got to the unit from day one he was always a team player. He will be sorely missed among all of us. He was one of the best soldiers I ever had the privelage of leading.
