CHRISTOPHER H. LINDFELT
March 30, 1966 - June 2, 2018
Christopher H. Lindfelt, born in Alamosa on March 30, 1966 and raised in Colorado Springs, died on June 2, 2018 in Redlands, California at age 52. He and Dawn Lindfelt raised a family of four wonderful boys, Wyatt, 20; Cooper, 16; Garret, 15 and Dalton, 9. The boys were the joy of his life. He was the beloved son of Hal Lindfelt and Mary Lou Shearn and step-father Don Shearn and dear brother of Leslie Lindfelt. Aunt, Janey Cole, and cousins, John and Dant, will also mourn.
Chris graduated from Cheyenne Mountain High School in 1984; the year he was also voted all-city athlete. He graduated from Lawrence University in 1989. Besides a good liberal arts education, he received all-star and all-American status in football. He set a career tackle record that still stands. Chris was inducted in the University's Hall of Fame.
After graduation, he moved to California living in San Diego where he met his wife. They moved to San Francisco and he entered the Wright Institute in Berkeley and graduated with a Doctor of Psychology degree.
Chris and his family moved to Redlands, California in 2002. Although he worked for the Alzheimer's foundation for a few years, the majority of his professional work was spent on the faculty of California State University at San Bernardino. He served as a professor in the department of Health Sciences until he joined the administration and became the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Education. He was well respected and valued by his students and colleagues.
