I was lucky enough to be one of Doc's trainers at CMHS and his history student. He brought so much happiness and acceptance to my time there, it truly changed my life. He was an amazing teacher - wise, kind, funny, and so accepting of all of us. He will not be forgotten.

I loved Doc and had the great honor to be a student of his, an athlete who benefited from his care and concern, and then to teach in his department and share in his legacy at CMHS. I also loved the sparkle in his eyes when he would talk about his travels with his beloved group of friends.
He was an altogether lovely human and I´m so glad I knew him and his beautiful family.

Hal was so influential at Cheyenne, such a renaissance man who influenced, students, athletes, and colleagues. When I´d ask what he was currently reading, his answer compelled and intimidated me all at once, anyone from I. F. Stone to Rushdie to Raymond Carver. Such a bright mind with a gentle, good heart. There is not another Doc.

Deepest condolences to Hal´s family and dear friends. This photo was taken in Milan in 2007 when Hal accompanied my sister Teresa and me to Italy to scatter some of our mother´s ashes. He was like a brother, even when he ceased to be my brother-in- law. He was the one you wanted on your team for a round of Trivial Pursuit or in a downpour while camping in Estes Park. While I mourn his passing, I know he extracted every ounce of this world´s offerings. What a life! What a lovely man!

So sorry to hear about your loss. I had Doc Lindfelt as a teacher when I attended Cheyenne Mountain High School - he was a favorite teacher to many! May he rest in peace and God be with you and your family at this difficult time.

Oh, what a guy! Hal was passionate about life. He couldn't see enough of the planet, eat enough delicious food, love his children & grandchildren any more completely or be a better friend. I enjoyed playing golf with him and hearing about his adventures. He loved teaching and was so committed to his students and athletes. My deepest sympathy to his family and all who loved him. He is missed... Kate O

Thinking of you, dear friend, Hal. Our summer trips in the Open Road, Mexico and our favorite the great Southwest. I will miss you.
