Cory Sherbet Obituary

Cory Sherbet, 71, passed away peacefully August 24, 2009 in Colorado Springs, Colorado, surrounded by her family. She was born to Albert and Delphinia Alarid in Mora, New Mexico. She was the youngest of nine children. Cory was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers and one sister. Cory married Gary M. Sherbet on January 12, 1962 in Pueblo, Colorado. They had one daughter, Sherry. Family and friends were very important to Cory. She loved everyone and was known to be very giving and generous. Some of her favorite activities were camping, fishing and most of all garage sales. Cory was employed with School District 11 for 30 years in food service. Survivors include Cory's loving husband, Gary Martin Sherbet; devoted daughter, Sherry (Doug ) Littrell; beloved grandchildren, Andrew, Keith and Stephanie; great grandchildren, Kailey, Ashton and Jimmie as well as her brothers, Joe (Pearl) Alarid, Fred Alarid and sister, Alice Alarid. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday, August 27, 2009 from 4-7 p.m. at Swan Law Funeral Directors. Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, August 28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Radiant Church, 4020 Maizeland Road, Colorado Springs, followed by burial at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
