David Hein Obituary

David Hein passed away on August 28, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Dave grew up in Franklin Park, Illinois. He loved Colorado--Colorado Springs has been his home since 1976. An outdoorsman, Dave enjoyed camping and fishing throughout the summer and hunting in the fall. He maintained a beautiful garden, a peaceful haven, where all manner of wildlife found refuge. He was a wonderful photographer and also enjoyed astronomy and the night skies. Above all else, he was a devoted father to his sons, Seth and Reece, and was very engaged in their lives. Dave will be remembered for his charming personality and dry sense of humor. He was adored by his sisters and nieces. He was the "best Dad" to his sons. Dave was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Dorothea Hein; his sister, Laurel Hein, and his nephew, Adam Valdes. He will remain forever in the hearts of his sons, Seth and Reece Hein; his sisters, Mary (Tom) Walczyk, Donna (Stan) Sheloski, Adrian (Guy) Prevost, and Carla Savage; his nieces Lauren (Jeremy) Trollinger and Ruby Savage; and family friend, Tiffany Torres. A private memorial service will be held soon. The family wishes to thank Pikes Peak Hospice for their caring support.
