Derek Greer Obituary
The quality of his life far exceeds the quantity of time in which he lived. He had the most beautiful smile and contagious laugh. He had the ability to steal any show with his amazing presence and wonderfully unique personality. He was an amazing big brother, son and friend. The many lives he touched will help to carry his memory on.
Derek was born on September 29th, 2001 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado. His favorite things were food, family and friends. He attended school at Coronado High School and every summer attended a church function called Mission Survivor.
Derek is survived by his parents, Heather Renae Ferguson and George Dee Ponder, stepfather, Jeffrey Clark Ferguson and 6 loving brothers and sisters. He also leaves behind his Papa Hank, Grandpas, David Wayne Larson and George D. Ponder and Grandma, Gwendolyn Ponder. He is also survived by his Aunt, Jessica Greer and many more loving family members and Friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Maxine Greer.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by Angelus Chapel Funeral Directors at 1104 S. Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
A visitation will be held on Friday, March 24th, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. and Funeral Services are on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at 2 p.m.

We were good friends through 8th grade. It was only that year that I became friends with him, we laughed just about every day. Id do anything to hear him laugh or see him smile again, he was an amazing kid and when someone was going through something he would stop and listen to them just to make sure they were okay. He was amazing and I'm so sad that I didnt stay in contact as much as we could have. Last time I saw him was one of the most emotional, that room was so packed full of people because he was so loved by many. Hope ur doin good Derek, love and miss you

Derek was an amazing person who lit anyone's world up. He was my best friend. We used to hang out all the time. I loved hanging out with him. We always went to the mall together. I loved him. He was like an older brother to me. Now that hes gone nothings the same. I can barley go to the Chapel hills mall because thats the mall we always hung out at. I know hes watching over me and i Hope hes happy. RIP Derek Benjerman Greer ~Chloe
