Diane Benbow Obituary

Diane Elizabeth Benbow, 70, of Colorado Springs, passed away on January 29, 2017. She was born on October 21, 1946, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to the late Bill and Maxine (Keithly) Masure. As the daughter of an Air Force officer, she lived in many different places, including Denver, Colorado; Yakota, Japan; and Lompoc and San Diego, California. She graduated from Clairemont High School in San Diego, California and attended the University of Tulsa before joining her family in Colorado Springs, where she attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.

Diane was a member of Holy Apostles Church Catholic Church. She was an accomplished pianist who enjoyed knitting, and crocheting, and providing home cooked meals for family and friends. Always welcoming, Diane made friends easily and touched the lives of many people with her kindness and courage.

Diane is survived by her loving husband, Ben; children: Bryan Benbow, Zachary Benbow, and Elizabeth (Michael) Ramos; two grandchildren: Madison and Sophia Ramos; uncle, David Keithly and aunts: Nancy and Aliece Keithly; and sister, Susan Kirk. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Bryan,
My heart breaks for you and your family. Your Mom and Grandma Masure will always have a special place in my heart for the kindness they showed me when we were growing up. I wish I could think of something better to say, but I really can't. She was an amazing lady who will not be forgotten by those of us who knew her, even if it was many years ago. You are all in my prayers.
