Dianne Medoro Obituary

Colorado Springs - Dianne Sena Medoro, a long-time resident of the Colorado Springs area, peacefully entered heaven on Friday the seventh of April at her home. Dianne was born in 1936 in Newburgh, NY. and moved to Coral Gables, FL, where as a young girl she became well known as a beauty pageant winner, model, and equestrian. Unbeknownst to her, while in junior high at St. Theresa's Catholic School, Dianne met her soulmate and love of her life, Johnny, and they were married in 1956. During their 56 years of marriage, Dianne and Johnny loved travelling, motorhoming, good food, good wine, and good friends. There wasn't a challenge in this world that couldn't be solved around their Italian dinner table. The center of her world was "La Famiglia"; especially her four daughters, whom she leaves with a legacy of love and irreplaceable memories. Dianne had a wonderful smile that could light up a room and a mischievous twinkle in her eyes. Dianne and Johnny made annual trips to Colorado to ski, and truly believed this is God's country. They loved it so much they moved to Colorado Springs in 1984 to enjoy their retirement.

Dianne has been reunited in death with her husband, Johnny. She is survived by her loving daughters, Dana Medoro, Jodi and Doug Vaughn, Maria and Fritz Heck, and GiGi and Michael Whited and her adoring grandchildren, Danielle Medoro (fiancé Brad); Johnny, Nicholas, and Gregory Vaughn; Katelyn and Justin Doss, Tyler (fiancé Kelly) and Hunter Heck; and Dante and Gabriella Whited.

Dianne was the consummate wife, mother, and "Mommom." She had a quiet strength, endless patience, eternal optimism, and limitless love for everyone. Words cannot express the loss we feel, but we will always cherish her life and the memories we share with her. We have been blessed to have been a part of her life and her love.

There will be a viewing and rosary service at Capodonna Funeral Home on Monday, April 10, 2017 at 7:00pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00am on April 11, 2017 at St Paul Catholic Church in Colorado Springs, CO. Interment will follow the mass at 11:30am at Evergreen Cemetery.

Dana, Jodi, Maria and GiGi,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your mother. I remember her as always so kind and smiling, many years ago. May you find comfort she and your father are together, as I'm sure you will miss having her in your lives. Praying for all of you during this time,

Lisa (Giordano) Callahan and familiy

To all the Sena and Medoro family members. I am certain that Dianne and Johnny are now reunited in Heaven and in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ and His mother the Blessed Virgin Mary. They were two great people.
Words cannot express the sorrow I feel over your loss. My prayers continue for them and for you, that you might find consolation in the peace of the Lord and in our Faith.
God bless you all. Lovingly, Evelyn M. Garcia
