Dolores G. Vess, a cherished longtime resident of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully on October 22, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on November 11, 1933, Dolores proudly served in the United States Air Force and later took to the skies as a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines. Her life was a testament to adventure, warmth, and joy.
Dolores embraced life with a vibrant spirit. She found happiness skiing the snowy slopes of Colorado, exploring new destinations with her travel group, and bonding with horses and animals she adored. Her sweet tooth was legendary, especially her love of chocolate malts and she delighted in spirited outings to Cripple Creek with dear friends, where laughter and storytelling flowed freely.
She leaves behind a loving legacy through her four children, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, each carrying forward her curiosity and zest for life.
Dolores will be remembered for her adventurous heart, radiant smile, and the deep love she shared with those around her. Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her to live fully, love deeply, and cherish each moment.

I met Dolores back in 2015 I believe her and her delightful husband Jerry purchased a rental and I was blessed to be their tenant. They were wonderful landlords, I rented from them from them for three years. Since getting remarried I lost touch with them however I cherish those memories. We laughed lots and talked about family. I introduced my Mom to them when she was in town she Dolores and my mom had lots in common both serving in the Air Force, Sadly I lost my dear Mom in February of this year and very sad to hear of the families loss of sweet Dolores. Blessing to the family definitely loss a great women.
