Donald (Don) Frank Owens of Spokane, WA, passed away at his home on Friday, February 25, 2022, at the age of 82. Don was born in western Kansas on April 16, 1939, to Edward and Mabel Owens. Don served for 3 years in the US Navy which led to a 34-year career at Hewlett Packard, in Colorado Springs, CO. He married Jolene Dunn on Sept 15, 1961. Don and Jolene raised their 5 children on a ranch north of Peyton, CO.

Don married Mary Jo Kraus on Sept 28, 1998. Don and Mary Jo moved to Davenport, WA in 2007 and then to Spokane, WA in 2019. One of Don's passions, which he shared with Mary Jo, was archaeology.

Don was a kind man, funny, opinionated, smart, a loving parent and grandpa. He enjoyed hunting and fishing; however, his true passion was spending time with his family. He was happiest gathered around the dining room table with family, visiting, playing cards, telling funny stories, and eating cookies. He was loved and will be missed by many people.

Private services will be held in WA later this summer. Donations may be made in Don's name to any Veteran's charity or the Paleocultural Research Group at https://www.coloradogives.org/pcrg.
