Donna Yording Obituary

Our loving mother, passed away on October 5, 2011 in Colorado Springs. She was born on June 8, 1929 in Jacksonville, IL, the daughter of Theodore and Mary Moore. Donna was married to William Yording on February 5, 1949 in Jacksonville, IL, where she worked as a head bank teller. She and her family moved to Waverly, IL in 1969, then to Colorado Springs in 1972. She was part owner in several businesses, worked as a receptionist for medical facilities, First Presbyterian Church and Care & Share Food Bank. She loved hot air balloon festivals, gathering with friends and family, and playing pinochle with her card group. Family was very important to her, and she was a doting mother and grandmother. Donna is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her former husband, William; four children, Andy (Chandra), Cindy, Nick and Michelle; five grandchildren, Jennifer (David), Melanie, Rebecca, Michael, and Joshua; and one great grandchild, David. A celebration of life reception will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, October 10, 2011 in the parish hall of the Holy Apostles Catholic Church at 4925 North Carefree Circle, Colorado Springs, CO 80917.
