Edwin Peterson Obituary

Edwin A. Peterson, 71, of Colorado Springs, passed away on October 9, 2009. Edwin was born on November 26, 1937 in Elbert, CO to Edwin A. Peterson Sr. and Florence (Irwin) Peterson. Edwin was raised in Calhan, CO. He graduated from Miami Yoders High School in 1955 and then joined the Air Force where he served until 1957. After serving his country, Edwin married Dee Rogers on October 2, 1970. He started working for Mountain View Electric Company on March 8, 1962 and worked until retiring on July 15, 1997 due to health problems. Edwin was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He leaves behind several friends and family members. Edwin is survived by his loving wife, Dee; one son, Matthew; two grandchildren, Edwin and Monica; three brothers, Arthur, Harry, and Stan Peterson; and two sisters, Mildred Morton and Kathy Mattson. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Michelle and one brother, Larry. Visitation will be held from 4:30-7 PM, Thursday, October 15 at Evergreen Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday, October 16 at Circle Drive Baptist Church, 801 N. Circle Drive, Colorado Springs, CO. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
