It's been a year now. A year without a phone call to her. A year to remember her. I'm still very sad. This Christmas I was happy that we spent Christmas 2018 together in Ohio with Ramona and Don Ayers. My first Christmas together with Erika. My only Christmas with Erika. I'm in tears. I miss her so much. With love Dieter.

What a remarkable woman she was. As a little boy on a day in June in 197? I realized that she was mom's favorite sister. My aunt. And she quickly became my favorite aunt. She accepted me for who I am. She once said to me on the phone: "There are planes flying to America. Visit me." I visited her for the first time in September 1995. I felt at home with her. Whenever she came to Germany, I was always the little excited boy. I am so grateful for the many moments and conversations with her. Nobody can take them away from me. As long as my heart beats Erika is in my life. I miss you. I am so grateful to her and infinitely sad. In love; Dieter

I knew Erika during my 18-year career at TRW. She would always greet me with a warm smile and cheerful "Hello, Pete." We shared many good times, laughs and stories at work. Erika was well liked and highly respected by all. My sincere condolences to her family for their heart breaking loss. Am interested to know the specifics of her virtual celebration of life when they become available.

She was a wonderful Aunt. I loved visiting her when my grandparents took me to Colorado when I was young. She was a good cook and introduced me to a brown sugar toast. I was blessed to see her again at our Florida family reunion. She will be missed.
