Evelyn Bugg Obituary

Evelyn Margaret Peterson Bugg passed away peacefully on September 25, 2010 at the age of 92 at Skyline Village in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Evelyn and her twin Ethel were born to Edwin W. Peterson and Hannah Hultgren Peterson on March 13, 1918 and raised in Colorado Springs. Evelyn attended Bristle Elementary, and graduated from Palmer High School. In 1939 she graduated from Colorado College with a Bachelor of Science degree and married her college sweetheart, Gordon (Gogo) Edward Bugg. They raised their two children, Gordon and Jean in Colorado then retired to Durango, Colorado from 1976 to 2004 when Evelyn moved to Colorado Springs. Evelyn cherished her family and friends and will be remembered lovingly as a lady who sought beauty through her art and way she lived life. She was preceded in death by her sister Ethel Peterson, her brother Edwin Peterson, an her husband of 49 years, Gogo Bugg. Evelyn is survived by her son Gordon Bugg, his wife Susan, granddaughter Aimee Mathias, her husband Matt Mathias and their children, Logan Brant, Nate Brant and Ailyn Mathias; by her daughter Jean Johnston, husband Stuart, grandson Christopher Johnston, granddaughter Lindsy Sanders, her husband Jason Sanders and their children, Margan and Jessica Sanders, and granddaughter Maia Tozzi, her husband Robert Tozzi and their children, Ryan, Nate, an Cole Tozzi. A memorial will be held in Durango where Evelyn will be laid to rest next to her husband, Gogo.
