Frances Boardman Obituary

Frances Fisher Boardman went home to be with The Lord June 7th 2012. Fran was born in Pittsburg, PA, July 21, 1922. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sohn (Bob) Boardman whom she married Feb. 14, 1942. They moved to Manitou Springs shortly thereafter. They had two children, Roy Lee Boardman, who precedes Mom in death, and Nancy Pike, who survives and lives in Colorado Springs. Fran, my Mom, was so gifted and talented. She loved Jesus, she loved the Bible, she loved to sing and dance, she loved the outdoors. She took us kids and we camped all over Colorado and the West. She loved to garden and preserve her harvest. She was a rock hound, a hiker. An excellent seamstress. She could draw and paint. She loved fixing her house, doing construction projects, landscaping. She loved all animals, her fellowman, she loved life and God. She loved to go for a walk with her dogs in the hills behind her home in Manitou, where she lived for over 65 years. She's reunited with them and walking in the glorious hills of Heaven now. Mom stepped peacefully into Heaven at home, just shy of turning 90, I was right by her side. She is greatly missed. My Mom was my best friend forever. Her talents and gifts and victories are far too many to write down. Happy Glorious Eternity Mom I'll see you again
