Glenn L. Hovenkamp Obituary

Glenn L. Hovenkamp, age 87, a retired Kaman Sciences employee, died on August 12, 2011 in Colorado Springs. Mr. Hovenkamp was born on February 16, 1924 in the former Dutch East Indies. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elisabeth. He was active in the resistance movement during the occupation of the Netherlands in World War Two and was awarded the Resistance Commemoration Cross by the Dutch government. He earned the Bronze Star for service in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the US Air Forces Escape and Evasion Society, the British Royal Air Force Escaping Society, the Dutch Allied Aircrew helpers organization, the Eighth Air Force Historical Society, and was a founding member of the American Air Museum in Britain. At his request, no services will be held.
